FAQs

  • First I'll scream from the rooftops that you are never too old to start your singing journey. I've taught clients as old as 80, and it is so much fun! There is no age limit on following your dreams.

Second, I teach children ages 7 years old and up. If you, their parent, feel confident that they are able to stay focused for the 30 minute lesson, then I am happy to teach them. I do my best to make it lots of fun, and keep them engaged. So if they are singing all the time, and they need some direction, let's get them started now with healthy singing habits.

  • You can take singing lessons as often as you like, but I recommend once a week for the best results! Regular lessons keep your momentum going, help you build skills, and allow you to really dive into your singing journey. Remember, every voice is unique, and I’m here to support you every step of the way!

PS. If you have an audition coming up, you may need to come in for more than one lesson per week.

  • You will probably hate this answer....but It Depends!

What are your goals? What are your bad habits? Have you ever had lessons before? Do you plan on practicing regularly? Have you had previous vocal health issues?

If you intend on only singing for a specific musical or choir (for example a Christmas concert), or a special event, then perhaps plan on taking singing lessons for anywhere from 7 or 8 months to a year.

If you want to be a Singer (yes with a capital S), like maybe making a name for yourself, or making some money with that angelic voice, then plan on taking singing lessons forever. Life happens, sicknesses happen, bad habits rear their ugly heads. You will always want someone on your team keeping you at your absolute singing best.

  • For some lucky folks, yes, singing does come more naturally. For the rest of us, not so much.

Talent is something that everyone has. Some people can draw, some can dance some can knit, play golf...you get the idea. And yes, some people can sing. But like everything in life, there are coaches and teachers (like me) out here to help you be better at whatever it is that makes you happy. So if singing is that thing YOU want to be better at, get a good teacher (hint hint).

  • YES, YES, YES! You really can learn to sing. As you will learn in your lessons with me, if you can speak you can sing. This is a promise! Unfortunately I cannot promise that you will win AGT, Idol or win lots of awards. That's up to the Universe and You. Bu if you really, truly want to have a better voice, then you can.

You just need three things: Patience, Practice and Me

Studio Location

My studio is located in Riverton. 11968 South Redwood Road. I am in The Wasatch Arts Center. Yes it's a dance studio, but did you know it is also a music studio!

Follow the signs to enter the studio, come on in to the lobby and I'll look for you when it is your lesson time.
